Hello and thank you for visiting our website. My name is Reagan English, Principal of Amite Westside Middle Magnet School. I have been part of the AWMMS family for 17 years. Each year brings about new experiences, new faces, and new opportunities. My vision for AWMMS is to achieve high results by focusing on ALL students and instructional excellence to create a culture in which all students thrive. We will accomplish this vision as we strive for excellence by educating and guiding each student to reach his/her full potential through the teaching of district approved Tier I curriculum, assignment of impactful interventions and resources to close achieve gaps, maintaining consistency in procedures to ensure order and safety, in-depth data analysis to drive decision making, building capacity in faculty and staff through professional development, reinforcing positive behavior through PBIS, and partnering with parents and the community as we embrace this movement of change in a positive direction. I personally thank each of you for entrusting us with the well-being of the students in which we serve.
